KUWAIT: Kuwait Federation (2016-2017) season ended yesterday with the Federation General Tournament under the patronage of President of Kuwait and Arab Tennis Federation Sheikh Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Abdallah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. The tournament began April 29, with 74 players representing Tadamon, Sahel, Salmiya, Shabab, Sulaibkhat, Qadisiya, Kuwait, Yarmouk, Khaitan and Kazima clubs. The final match was also attended by KTF Vice President Abdelsamad Al-Aryan, Yarmouk SC Board Member and Director of Tennis Hussein Al-Ghareeb, Khaitan SC Hakem Al-Enezi, KTF Treasurer Faleh Al-Otaibi, Assistant Treasurer Ahmad Al-Qallaf and Board Member Ali Al-Daihani.

In the Singles Final Match, Yarmouk club player Abdallah Yacoub Maqdis met Kuwait's Club player Abdelrahman Al-Awadhi and defeated him (6/4-6/4). In the Doubles Match, Yarmouk's Abdallah Maqdis and Hassan Al-Mousa won the first place, followed by Khaitan's Hamid Al-Sulaihen and Ali Abdelredha.  The 3rd place went to Kuwait's Abdelrahman Al-Awahi and Tamim Al-Hallaq.

The final standings are as follows - Yarmouk (343 points); Kuwait (183 points); Khaitan (137 points); Salmiya (100 points); Kazima (50 points); Shabab (40 points); Qadisiya (26 points); Tadhamon (19 points); Sulaibikhat (16 points) and Sahel (13 points). International Referee, head referee at KTF Barrak Abdelmohsen Jawaheri won the best referee during the season. President of KTF and ATF Sheikh Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Abdallah Al-Sabah congratulated the winning teams and wished the rest best of luck. He expressed satisfaction with the levels of many players.
