KUWAIT: HH The Crown Prince Championship and 13th Gulf Tournament continues at Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Olympic Shooting Complex, as all participating shooters compete in the shotgun, air pistol and rifle events. Secretary General of Kuwait and Arab Shooting Federation Obaid Al-Osaimi lauded the support of HH The Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and thanked him for patronizing an annual tournament which marks the start of the new season. Al- Osaimi welcomed Presidents and Secretary Generals of Gulf Shooting Federations, as well as the shooters. He said that the board of directors decided to increase the financial prizes of this dear tournament.

Meanwhile, Kuwait Shooters continue their preparations for this tournament as it will see strong competition between all participants, and is considered a preparation for Kuwait shooters who will participate in several international events. Delegations from Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, Oman and Qatar already involved in the formalities that precede the competitions. Kuwait’s shooter Mohammad Al- Bghaili said Kuwait shooters are ready for the championships for their importance to be ready for the Asian championship coming up soon.

Shotgun referee in the tournament Fawaz Al- Shatti said the officials committee is ready as 27 Kuwaiti referees will officiate besides other referees from participating countries. he said the referees went through refreshers courses, and wished everyone success. UAE shooter Ayesha Alyasi said her team came here to compete fiercely in this tournament and prepared for it in camps in Italy. She said competitions here create opportunities to gain experience ahead of the Asian tournament as all shooters aim at qualifying for the Olympics in Brazil 2016
