KUWAIT: Preparations for the start of the local season of Kuwait Shooting Sports Club began at Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Olympic Shooting Complex. The season will start with HH the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah Annual Shooting Tournament on October 4th, with the participation of Kuwait and Gulf shooters.

Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah for his support and encouragement of athletes in Kuwait, and to Kuwait shooters who are keen to represent their country and hoist Kuwait flag high in all domestic and international championships. He said this championship has special stature at the shooting community, as it had a big role in having a large number of Arab and Gulf athletes participate.

Al-Otaibi said the board approved the scheduled tournaments for the year (2018 - 2019) that are named after personalities.

He said the organizing committee of HH the Crown Prince tournament is preparing for the event and getting the ranges ready.

Al-Otaibi said the closing ceremony will see shooters who won in the major tournaments honored, headed by the gold medal of the skeet event in the Asian games in Jakarta, and the teams' gold in the trap event in the world cup held in Korea, in addition to having shooters Abdelrahman Al-Faihan securing a place in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. He said Al-Faihan follows a special training program besides financial support.
