KUWAIT: Kuwait Sports Club became champion of Kuwait Basketball Association Cup by defeating Qadisiya Club 86-81 during their match that was held earlier in the week. Jahra Club took third place after defeating Nasser Club by the score of 88-87.

President of KBA Dhari Al-Barja, and Vice President Ali Al-Khalifa distributed medals and prizes to the players of the top three places.

The final match was of an average level during which teams exchanged scoring, until Kuwait Club began to get control midway during the first quarter through players Hamad Adnan and Abdullah Al-Shimmari scoring from outside, while Qadisiya Club players were hasty and rushing things allowing Kuwait to go up by 28-16.

Qadisiya regained its balance in the second quarter through Fahhad Al-Subaiee penetrations and scoring, while Nasser Al-Hajras and Saleh Al-Yousuf were outstanding in rebounding, while Kuwait Club players were not able to penetrate Qadisiya's zone defence, which had control over rebounds and fast breaks ending the second quarter with a score of 46-46.

The third quarter saw the two teams exchanging scores and ended at 63-61 in favor of Kuwait Club.

The fourth quarter was not different to a large extent, while Mushari Buduhoum was scoring from outside for Qadisiya while his teammate Saleh Al-Yousum was shooting at random given to Kuwait the opportunity to go ahead in the final 3 minutes ending the match with the score of 86-81.
