KUWAIT: His Highness the Deputy Amir and Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received on Tuesday a phone call from Japan's Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, checking on His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah's health. In the phone conversation, Kishida wished his Highness the Amir good health well-being, and voiced heartfelt congratulations on the success of Kuwait's legislative elections and government formation. His Highness the Deputy Amir, for his part, inquired after the health of Emperor Naruhito of Japan and asked the Japanese Prime Minister to convey greetings and good wishes from himself and from His Highness the Amir to the Japanese Emperor, wishing Japan and its friendly people everlasting progress and prosperity. They discussed the strong bilateral relations between the two countries, a number of common issues and regional and international developments. His Highness the Deputy Amir affirmed Kuwait's keenness to support all efforts to enhance world security and peace, and ensure global oil prices in order to serve the common interests of exporters and consumers. His Highness the Deputy Amir expressed much thanks to Kishida for his phone call and good sentiments as well as sincere wishes for Kuwait's everlasting progress and development.
