KUWAIT: It is said resolutions are meant to be broken, but when you do reach any of your goals, the feeling is one of exhilaration and accomplishment. Continuing their yearly tradition, Kuwait Times' editorial staff are again making resolutions they hope to achieve in the coming year for themselves, their families, friends, colleagues and the world at large!

Mustafa: I wish to see my younger son 7amanni getting married this year and my youngest daughter Hayyoum, who recently graduated, to find a suitable job soon, and for all those who have dreams to see them come true in 2023. Nothing is more precious than drawing a big smile on the faces of your beloved ones wherever they are and whenever you can. I also pray to Almighty Allah to keep us in good health and secure in 2023 and after.

Islam: I hope that Allah grants me success in my work and that I will be healthy and well. I hope to see my son graduate from university and achieve his goals. I also hope my son, daughters and we meet as one family again. I also hope I can buy a new car to fulfill my needs of going to work and attend other appointments.

Tony: I hope for good health with a chance to earn more and bring cheer and happiness to my family and colleagues at work.

Sahar: I wish this year I can publish my children's story that I wrote two years ago. Also, I wish I can travel to discover more places.

Abdellatif: My New Year resolution every year aims at contributing to making the world a better place - out of my belief that any move starts with just a step. I am looking for a world of love, happiness, prosperity and freedom for mankind. (Mind you, all those walking on two legs are the same - no color, language, beliefs make a difference, GOT IT?!)

Hasen: I hope to learn new ideas to teach my seven-month-old daughter how to help needy people.

Ahmad: My new year resolution is to not postpone today's plans for tomorrow, and just live for today because we may never live to see tomorrow.

Faten: My resolution for 2023 is a promise to stay "me" forever. Although life can be disappointing, we should never let this affect our bright future. I will take care of my mental health, ignore judgmental people, help needy people and animals, release my inner kid and make unlimited new friends from all over the globe. Life is too short to be wasted.

Sajeev: Try to travel more in 2023, a passion that was put on the backburner in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic. Try to adopt a pragmatic and wiser approach towards life.

Zakir: I hope next year will be good. My resolution for 2023 is to work more and earn more, lose weight, exercise and spend more time with my family.

Sreenu: This year I would like to practice mindfulness and create a more balanced life to decrease stress and improve my attention whilst having better awareness of the present moment.

Khaled: I hope my papers at the social security are finalized before the end of the new year.

Majd: I was grateful for 2022 due to the amazing things that happened to me. I wish in the next year to have the same strength to complete my achievements, whether in my career, dreams or all other things I wish for. I hope someday I can visit my country Palestine for the first time and pray in Al-Aqsa Mosque. Last but not least, may the new year bring health and happiness for my family, friends and everyone everywhere.

Shakir: I pray for good health for my family and myself and realization of all my spiritual, professional and personal goals. I hope to travel, exercise and write more. I also hope to venture into artistic endeavors.
