KUWAIT: President of Kuwait and Arab Shooting Federations, Chairman of the Higher Organizing Committee of HH the Amir 6th Shooting Grand Prix congratulated HH the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on the 11th anniversary of his ascension to power, and wished him more success in leading Kuwait to more success and that may Allah grant him good health.

Al-Otaibi lauded the competitions all along the past days, adding that they were strong and highly competitive, and congratulated all winning shooters. Al-Otaibi wished that the competition continue as strong until the end.

Kuwait's shooter Talal Abadallah Al-Rashidi said he won gold and a bronze medal in the Arab Championship, and attributed his success to training camps he participated in, as well as efforts exerted by the shooting club that helped him to prepare very well.

Al-Rashidi dedicated his medals to the Kuwaiti people and promised to win more in the upcoming events.

President of Egypt and African Shooting Federations Hazim Hosni lauded HH the Amir Shooting Grand Prix as far as organization and hospitality are concerned and described as marvelous from all aspects.

He said Egyptian shooting is happy to be in Kuwait and hoped the Grand Prix continues for years and years to come.

He said Egypt did not participate with a large number of shooters, but were able to win the air rifle gold, but did not win in the trap.

On her part, Egyptian shooter Shaima Hashad, who won the women's 10m Air Rifle gold medal said the competition was very strong and results were close to each other as the numbers showed. She said she benefited from participating by getting in touch with outstanding shooters especially those from the Gulf region.

Competition continued to be heated during events of HH the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah Sixth International Grand Prix being held at Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Olympic Shooting Complex as the following results show:

In the women's individual 10m Air Rifle:

Shaima Abdellatif Hashad from Egypt took first place with the score of 206.9 points, followed by Nouf Al-Dousary from Bahrain with 204.9 points while Kuwait's Mariam Irzouqi ended in third with 184.4.

While in the teams event:

First place went to Bahrain, with shooters Nouf Al-Dousary, Sarah Al-Dousary and Safa Al-Dousary scoring 1229.9 points, while second place was won by Qatar as shooters Ayesha Al-Suwaidi, Noura Al-Muhannadi and Ayesha Al-Mutawa scored 1214.1 points.

In the individual trap event:

First place went to Morocco's Idris Al-Hafawi, second place to Kuwait's "Abdelrahman Nasser Al-Faihan and third went to Talal Abdallah Al-Rashidi also from Kuwait.

The team trap event saw Kuwait's team of Abdelrahman Al-Faihan, Talal Al-Rashidi and Khalid Al-Mudhaf take first place.

While Lebanon ended in second place with Alain Mousa, Haship Jabbar and Jad Hamada.

Third place was claimed by UAE with Hamad Al-Kindy, Waleed Al-Aryani and Ahmad Al-Hamadi.
