KUWAIT: Deputy Foreign Minister Khaled Al-Jarallah and the visiting UK Minister of State for the Middle East and North Africa Alistair Burt sign an accord for assistance in criminal cases. — KUNA

KUWAIT: The State of Kuwait and the United Kingdom inked yesterday an accord stipulating mutual assistance in criminal cases. The treaty was signed by Deputy Foreign Minister Khaled Al-Jarallah and the visiting UK Minister of State for the Middle East and North Africa, Alistair Burt, at the Foreign Ministry headquarters.

Kuwaiti and British officials, grouped at the ministry offices, also signed minutes of the 11th work plan for the Kuwaiti-British Guidance Committee. Ahead of inking the accords, the deputy foreign minister hosted the visiting UK official and his accompanying delegation. The two sides discussed bilateral relations, in light of tasks by the joint commission, in addition to regional and international affairs. Later on, Jarallah held a luncheon in honor of the UK Secretary of State. - KUNA
