KUWAIT: Kuwait Winter Games Club honored Kuwait Ice Hockey team who won the gold medal during the Hong Kong World Championship, also Karate player Ali Al-Shatti and shooter Mansour Al-Rashidi were honored at the same event, for winning the gold medal during the Asian games in Indonesia.

Club Chairman Fuhaid Al-Ajmi said his club is keep on honoring Kuwaiti athletes who make achievements for their country. He said the honoring comes an encouragement for them to exert more efforts and make more achievements for Kuwait sports, and extend thanks and appreciation for them as they pleased Kuwaiti sports community.

He said his club will have a busy season, as it will host the Gulf clubs tournament next December, also the ladies hockey national team will participate in the Asian Championship in Thailand in October.

Kuwait Karate player Ali Al-Shatti thanked the Winter Games Club for its initiative adding that the achievements Kuwaiti players made are evidence for their outstanding performance and determination to come out winners. He said his priority now is to qualify for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
