Kuwait Times is proud to launch the student art competition under the theme of "Kuwait, Years from Now". The objective of the competition is to encourage students to showcase their vision of Kuwait in the future. What do you think will be the added in the future? How far into the future are you looking? The theme expresses our admiration, gratitude and hopeful reflections of our future in Kuwait.

The art competition started on October 10 and will continue until November 13, 2022, a period of 35 days, allowing participants from government, special needs and private schools enough time to submit their work. Students should create the best artworks to enter the competition. Students can use any A3-sized drawing sheet. All artworks must be hand drawn and not computer generated. All paintings should be submitted by email to [email protected] in PDF format only along with the participation form.

On the due date, the judging committee will select and choose the best artworks in each category, selecting five winners in each category. They will be looking for creativity, amount of effort and technique. The contest is open to both boys and girls aged 6 to 18 years in the categories of 6-8 years, 9-11 years, 12-14 years, 15-18 years and special abilities.

At the conclusion of the event, valuable prizes and certificates will be awarded to the winners by the VIP guest and other committee members as part of a closing ceremony. A certificate will also be given to the school as recognition of honorable participation. The dates will be confirmed at a later stage by sending an invitation to the schools that have participated, with the names of the winners, who are requested to bring along with them their paintings during the award ceremony.
