Jordanian dies

Foul odor led to the discovery of the body of 61-year-old Jordanian in a Hawally flat. Firemen were called to break the door.

4-vehicle collision

A car flipped over and a woman was trapped on King Fahd highway near Sabah Al-Salem after a four-vehicle collision. The woman was freed and taken by paramedics to hospital.

Camping sites

Municipality Director General Engineer Ahmad Al-Subaih said there are 20 camping sites over a total area of 1,135 sq km in Jahra and Ahmadi governorates - 15 sites in Jahra and five in Ahmadi. He said those applying for a camping license can do so in only one site from the 20 sites allocated by the municipality. Subaih said KD 50 will be charged as fees for each license for each camp, while a KD 300 deposit for every 1,000 m will be charged, and will be refunded after the camp is removed and the site cleaned.

Residency violators

Residency Affairs Detectives carried out a campaign resulting in the arrest of 32 Asian and African workers of a cleaning company in Jahra governorate in violation of residency law. Detectives called those who harbored them and charged them.

Inspection campaign

Assisted by security forces, Farwaniya municipality launched a wide scale inspection campaign on various garages, restaurants, grocery stores, photo studios and readymade garment stores in Jleeb. The campaign resulted in closing down 13 stores for various violations as well as arresting violators and referring them to relevant authorities.
