KUALA LUMPUR: Kuwaiti inventor Nuha Al-Mae won the silver medal at the 33rd International Exhibition of Inventions and Technological Innovations "Malaysia ITEX 22" in Detecting radioactive contamination. The Kuwaiti Ambassador to Malaysia Dr Hamad Burahma congratulated Mae on her achievement, wishing all success to Kuwait and GCC countries delegation, who had a distinguish participation in the annual scientific event.

Mae stated, "I appreciate Sabah Al-Ahmad Center for Giftedness and Creativity and the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences, as they turned my idea into a patent with full support and guidance from them." She commended the efforts of the Patent Office in the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for its support and dispatch for inventors to attend international exhibitions.

Mae added that the obtained innovation includes radioactive contamination detection of (TC.99.M) in nuclear medicine facilities such as hospitals, laboratories and factories.
