KUWAIT: The Kuwait Tennis Association had recently organized the Kuwait International Professional Tennis Tournament organized by and under the supervision of International Tennis Federation (ITF). The tournament included the participation of a distinguished group of players representing 27 countries including Italy, USA, Russia, France, Switzerland, Zimbabwe, India, Holland, Japan, Germany, Romania, South Africa, Belgium, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Austria, Bosnia Herzegovina, Spain, Croatia, Sweden, Norway, Canada, Turkey, Serbia, Bahrain and Lebanon in addition to the host country Kuwait.

During the second week of games, Kuwait's Mohammad Al-Ghareeb and Abdallah Maqdes defeat India's Lakshit and Chandril Sood. The superior experience of the Kuwaiti players played a major part in their win by the score of 7/6 - 6/3. The Kuwaitis will next meet Romania's George Botezanand his partner Giovani Samaha from Lebanon in the quarter finals.

Kuwait's Abdelrahman Mohammad Al-Awadhi and Abdelhameed Mahboub Jumaa defeated Anurag Nenwani from India and his partner Jose Vidal Azorin from Spain by the score of 6/3 - 4/6 - (10/6). The Kuwaiti partners will meet the tournament's top ranked team from Austria Maximilian Neuchrist and David Pichler. Elsewhere, Kuwait's Ali Al-Shatti and his partner Essa Qabazard lost to George Botezan and his partner Giovani Samaha by the score 2/6 - 2/6. The tournament will continue until November 19.
