ShareNEW YORK: Representative of HH the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, HH the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Al-Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah met UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on the sidelines of the 77th UN General Assembly meeting. During the meeting, the Amir's representative conveyed the greetings of HH the Amir and HH the Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and reaffirmed Kuwait's support to the UN's important role and efforts.
HH the Prime Minister also stressed the importance of participating in these meetings, which coincide with exceptional global conditions that the whole world is going through, calling on all member states to unite to face all the challenges and coordinate with the UN. Furthermore, the premier affirmed that Kuwait has an active role in supporting the UN's strategic plans and programs in all fields and contributes pivotally to humanitarian efforts to confront disasters and crises, resolve conflicts and achieve security and stability.
The meeting was attended by Foreign Minister Sheikh Ahmad Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah, Undersecretary of the Prime Minister's Diwan Sheikh Khaled Talal Al-Khaled Al-Sabah, Director of the Prime Minister's Office Hamad Al-Amer and Kuwait's Permanent Representative to the UN Tariq Al-Bannai. - KUNA
