KUWAIT: Kuwaiti rider Yousef Al- Abdulrazzaq grabbed the first and second places in third round of Aquabike World Championship that concluded its activities in Shanghai, China on Sunday. Al- Abdulrazzaq, in remarks to KUNA, expressed his happiness and satisfaction with his achievement.

The Kuwaiti world champion said that a technical problem during the race has prevented him from snatching the first place in the first round.

He expressed his gratitude to the technical crew accompanying him, praising the continued support of the public and private sectors through the Ministry of Youth Affairs, the Public Authority for Sports, Zain Telecom and Kuwait Finance House for the great care and encouragement they offer. Al-Abdulrazzaq is the only Arabic champion who won the world title seven times in the professional categories.

Kuwaiti motorcyclist wins

In another development Kuwaiti motorcyclist Muaz Al-Ansari came first in the first and second rounds of the Trans-World championship held in California, the US. In a telephone contact with KUNA, Al-Ansari said he ranked first in the “novice-fit” competition, beating top-notch champions. Up to 700 champions are taking in the Trans- World tournament. Al-Ansari added that his fellow citizen, Mohammad Al-Khlaifi, came third in the beginners-250 category. — Agencies
