KUALA LUMPUR: Kuwait's embassy in Malaysia announced Sunday a plan to evacuate 48 Kuwaiti citizens along with their families including students, in line with the State of Kuwait measures to help nationals abroad amid the coronavirus outbreak.

Kuwaiti Ambassador to Malaysia Dr Hamad Bou Rhama said that the operation would kick off at Kuala Lumpur International Airport on May 4, noting that departing Kuwaitis would board a Qatari airways aircraft.

The ambassador, who is supervising the operation, said the evacuation plan is in line with instructions by His Highness the Amir and His Highness the Crown Prince to evacuate citizens desiring to go back home. - KUNA
