Amir sends condolences to Pakistani President over blast victims

KUWAIT: His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received at Bayan Palace yesterday His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. His Highness also received His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah. Meanwhile, His Highness the Crown Prince received His Highness Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak, as well as Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.

In other news, His Highness the Amir sent a cable of condolences to the President of Pakistan Arif-ur-Rehman Alvi over victims of the suicide blast that targeted a police van in Lahore city eastern Punjab province earlier yesterday. In the cable, His Highness the Amir affirmed Kuwait's strong condemnation of such a criminal act that targeted innocent lives and goes against all humane values, His Highness prayed to Allah Almighty to bestow mercy upon the victims and speedy recovery to all the injured. His Highness the Crown Prince and His Highness the Prime Minister sent similar cables to President of Pakistan. - KUNA
