KUWAIT: Kuwait's tennis players Bader Antar and Salman Qabazard made a significant achievement by winning the gold medal of the doubles of Kuwait's first international juniors tournament by defeating the team of Britain's Derin Acaroglu and his Belgian partner Martin Katz, with the score of 6-2, 1-6, 10-8.

The final match was attended by President of Saudi Tennis Federation Mohammad bin Nasser Al-Ajaji, Deputy President of Kuwait Tennis Federation Abdelsamad Al-Aryan, Treasurer Ali Al-Daihani and board member Saleh Al-Saraawi.

Both players will add to their international points in the doubles, and Bader Antar added to his singles by reaching the semifinals of the tournament.

Players Antar and Qabazard won the doubles silver medal in Turkey's international juniors tournament in July.

Kuwait's tournament was held under the patronage Sheikh Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Abdallah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, President of Arab and Kuwait Tennis Federations, and 23 countries: Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Qatar, Iran, India, Philippines, Hong Kong, Romania, Greece, USA, Italy, France, Britain, Russia, Germany, Belgium, Sweden Serbia, Slovakia, Kazakhstan and host country Kuwait.

This tournament will be followed by a second one that will continue until 19th October, with the same 23 countries, and expected to witness strong competition.
