Sheikh Yahia Badri

KUWAIT: A condolences session was held at Al-Burhani Center of the Bohra Islamic Community in Kuwait recently, in the presence of Bohra community members residing in Kuwait. Representative of His Holiness Sultan of the Bohra Community, Sheikh Yahia Badri, gave a sermon starting with due praises to Allah Almighty, and praying for peace and blessings be upon His Messenger and His Family members.

He recalled the good manners and traits of our benevolent Prophet. He then mentioned the sacrifices of Imam Hussain and his family, seeking only to keep the 'Word of Truth' highly revered. He made a great sacrifice of his soul striving to preserve the Sharia of his Grandfather-the last Prophet (PBUH).

Sheikh Badri also shed light on the sacrifices and biography of Abul-Fadhl Al-Abbas, as Imam Ali (May Allah be pleased with him) requested from his brother, Aqeel Bin Abi Taleb, "to propose a woman begotten from a noble Arab for him to marry her, where she will beget for him a knight boy". She gave birth to four knights, the most noble amongst whom was Al-Abbas. Abbas enjoyed every characteristic of valor and bravery; therefore, he was called as the "Lunar of Beni Hashem".

He further called on the Bohra community members to strictly adhere to the Muhammadian Sharia, and keep away from anything unlawful. He stressed on the necessity for them to respect local laws, and be loyal to Kuwait, revering it as their second homeland, and further serving it in all fields.

Finally, Sheikh Yahia Badri expressed to HH Amir of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah; HH the Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah; and HH the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, wishing them permanent health. He prayed to Allah to keep Kuwait and its people enjoying eternal security, safety, prosperity and development.

He also thanked security forces, most primarily the Minister of Interior and MOI Undersecretary, for the facilitations and assistance they offer for giving religious rites in commemoration of the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (May Allah be satisfied with him) in the holy month of Muharram.
