KUWAIT: Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Al-Humoud Al-Sabah said the Arabian horse beauty contest has been strongly supported by the political leadership because of the sport’s genuine history.

Speaking to reporters following the conclusion of the contest, held within Kuwait’s Arabian Horse Festival, Sheikh Salman said he was proud to represent His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. He said His Highness the Crown Prince was keen on supporting horse sports, which were popular in Kuwait.

Sheikh Salman congratulated the people in charge of the Arabian Horse Center, which organized the festival and contest. He said he was astonished by the reaction of the crowd. He said the Public Authority for Sport sought to develop sport in general and equestrian in specific. Reem Al-Faisal won the most beautiful horse for the less than one year category.

Al-Areeb Shaqra won the most beautiful horse for the 2-3 years old category. Marbella Kid won the most beautiful male horse. —KUNA
