KUWAIT: The Youth Theater troupe presented on Saturday the artistic work 'Let's Drink Coffee', migration of minds and the call to stay in the homeland to contribute to its construction. And between his theatrical plot, which was written by author Faisal Al-Obaid, and the identification between comedy and tragedy, Youth Theater presented an integrated work on the stage of the Dasma theater that linked the bitterness of the taste of coffee and the bitterness of being away from the homeland and distinguished in its entirety with musical melodies and impressive performances.

The use of the coffee element in the work that comes within the 22nd session of the Kuwait Theater Festival came as a projection because it varies; there are American, French, Turkish, Arab and others, which is an indication of the alienation of some and their emigration and lack of belonging to their homelands. In this regard, the director of the work, Muhammad Al-Mazal, told KUNA that his main idea revolves around belonging to the homeland and rejecting the brain drain, as "we can be in our countries as we want, and no matter what difficulties we face, we must persevere in order to build our countries, not leave them and migrate."

In turn, theatrical critic Habiba Al-Abdullah told KUNA that the author of the work "has proven his ability to write and is a wonderful scenographer - coordinator of the theater space and controlling its form - and a winner of several awards, and his experience in this work was very distinguished."

And "Creativity in Decoration", indicating that the Kuwait Theater Festival in this session is "characterized by its organization." Emirati artist Ahmed Al-Jasmi told KUNA that he hosted him in this festival, which he is keen to be present in. "Theatre brings artists together in the midst of life's concerns." And he added, "They are thirsty to see distinguished theatrical works, and the Kuwait Theater Festival proves its existence year after year with its development and renewal and with the creative artists participating in it."

The professor of theater criticism in Saudi Arabia, Dr Sami Al-Jamaan, told KUNA that the Kuwait Theater Festival is one of the specialized and distinguished festivals at the level of the Arab world. "It is held in a country with a distinguished theatrical history." Al-Jamaan added that the festival presents in each session a large group of ambitious youth, and that through its permanent presence, he noticed "the development of the performance of young people in the festival, whether at the level of acting, directing or writing." The artists are Samah, Youssef Al-Hashash, Ali Al-Hussaini, Areej Al-Attar, Hussein Al-Haddad, Youssef Bonachi and Ali Mahdali. - KUNA
