KUWAIT: LOYAC recently concluded the second phase of its 'KON Social Entrepreneurship' program organized in collaboration with Babson College; the leading American college in social entrepreneurship, with platinum sponsorship from NBK, golden sponsorship from Zain and co-sponsorship from Agility. Due to health restrictions, the program was held online via the Zoom app.

In this regard, LOAYC's Deputy Chairperson Fadia Al-Marzooq stressed the significance of entrepreneurship in developing national economy, adding that the importance of such projects lies in the social value they add to societies.

Meanwhile, LOYAC's Social Creativity Manager Eman Al-Omar explained that the six-week program targeted children aged 12-16, and that it was designed to develop their talents and skills to prepare them for the labor market. Also speaking on the occasion, NBK's Public Relations Manager Yaaqoub Al-Baqer stressed that NBK is proud of the program's outcome held for the fourth year in a row despite the current circumstances related to the spread of COVID-19. He added that NBK's participation is part of its community service activities.

Zain Kuwait's Chief Corporate Communications and Relations Officer Waleed Al-Khashti also expressed his pride for taking part in KON as LOYAC's partners. Finally, Agility's Board Chairperson Hanadi Al-Saleh said that vocational training is one of the most important skills future generations need in order to operate successfully in the labor market.
