KUWAIT: The Assembly's health and labor committee discussed yesterday the implementation of a law to set up a company for the recruitment of domestic helpers, head of the committee said. MP Saad Al-Khanfour said the company is scheduled to start operations at the start of September and its offices have already been readied.

The lawmaker said that the cost of the recruitment will drop by half when the company starts, adding that it will have offices for police screening and medical tests. The domestic helper will be handed over to the employer only after undergoing the necessary medical tests and police screening. He said the company will provide distinguished services not available at existing recruitment offices.
