KUWAIT: Malcolm X IBPC Meritorious Awards function took place at Indian Embassy auditorium on 25th March, 2022 at 6:00 pm. The program started on time with auditorium filled completely with Principal, dignitaries, students, parents and members. There were more than 300 guests in the auditorium and 150 on virtual platform.

The ceremony started with lighting of lamp by HE Sibi George, Joyce Sibi, Gurvinder Lamba, Sunit Arora & Dr Kamlesh. It was followed by National Anthem of Kuwait & India. Sunit Arora, director of the event started by welcoming the guests and giving the details of the program followed by Dr Kamlesh giving the criteria and to select the schools and students.

Gurvinder Lamba, IBPC Chairman Nominee gave a welcome speech and briefed the activities performed by IBPC. He highlighted on the importance of education and the felicitations by IBPC as a way of giving back to the society. HE Sibi George, the Indian Ambassador to Kuwait captivated the attendees with his motivational speech, depicting the importance of education, congratulating and wishing the best to the students for their future.

The Criteria formulated by IBPC include the Awardees for 10th & 12th Std students from Indian Schools with CBSE board. Cut off marks for 10th is 97% and above and for 12th is 95% and above. The school trophies were won by DPS (FAIPS) for the 10th Std & by Indian Educational School (Bhavans) for 12th Std. The Gold & Silver medals and School trophies were distributed followed by Bronze Medals totaling to 246 students.

Under the mentorship program to encourage children, 6 students were prepared who did the anchorship for the whole program. The auditorium was filled with applause and cheering on an amazing performance of the students last year. Finally a vote of thanks was delivered by Sunit Arora who thanked the Chief Guest, IBPC Committee, Students, Parents, Sponsors, Media and his entire team.
