KUWAIT: A man was caught when received a package containing heroin. The man was arrested when customs detectives discovered the illicit drugs in a parcel sent from Pakistan and the man admitted he had received four similar parcels previously. He was sent to Drugs Control General Department. The amount of heroin found is estimated at 500 grams. 100 more pure heroin were found in the suspect's house. In another drug-related incident, airport customs officers arrested an Asian with one kilogram of marijuana that was hidden in his luggage. He was sent to the Drug Control General Department (DCGD).

Debtors arrested

A man was sent to Civil implementation department as she is wanted on four debt cases totaling KD 36,000. The arrest was made near Kuwait Zoo in Omariya. In another incident, a citizen wanted for debts totaling KD 100,000, as well as forgery and impersonation, was arrested by Mubarak Al-Kabeer police and sent to concerned authorities.

Imposters rob expats

Two men who were posing as detectives used a stolen sports-utility-vehcile (SUV) to attack expats and rob them. Farwaniya detectives are working on arresting the two following several complaints by expats who said the two men stormed their residences and rob them, when detectives checked on the license plate they found the vehicle was reported stolen.

Car thieves busted

Farwaniya police arrested three juveniles while trying to steal items from a car, and were sent to juveniles protection department. Policemen saw the three while breaking the glass, then when police approached them claimed to have locked the keys inside the car. On checking, however, police discovered the three did not own the car.

Warehouse theft

A citizen discovered that KD 8000 worth of food stuff was stolen from his company warehouse, so he reported that to Jleeb Al-Shuyiukh police station. The stolen material include 160 boxes of dates, 70 sacks of cardamom and coffee. Police are investigating.

Gamblers arrested

Vice police arrested 11 gamblers in a Salmiya apartment. Criminal detectives received information about several persons who frequented a flat to carry out illegal activities. Detectives found out that the apartment is run by a number of expatriates, and obtained warrants to raid it, when they found the suspects.
