KUWAIT: A citizen was sent to the psychiatric hospital after he caused havoc at a co-op and beat an elderly woman, then smashed the windowpanes of a barber shop and beat workers there. The man was arrested and the elderly woman who sustained injuries lodged a complaint against him.

Liquor stash found

Policemen discovered 1,634 liquor bottles stashed by two Asians under the floor of a "bachelor" residence in Hasawi. Police saw a man carrying some bags, who started running, so they pursued him into the house. Another Asian was found there, and both were arrested.

'Stoned' driver

An Egyptian collided with a tree in Farwaniya, then fell asleep in the car, until police saw it and arrested him with drugs. Police first thought the man was unconscious as his car was hugging the tree, to they called paramedics. When they were trying to get him out of the car, he woke up and told them he was in good health. A security source noticed some cigarettes on the seat, so he confessed he was smoking hashish and lost control over the car. He said he decided to stay in the car so that it wouldn't be towed away.

Multiple arrests

Two citizens were found using hashish in the parking lot of a Jahra school. The two are ex-convicts, and a quantity of hashish was found with him. Both were sent to concerned authorities for further legal action. Separately, two bedoons and a female citizen were arrested and taken to Sulaibiya police station as one of them was found wanted for criminal detectives. The three were arrested when they attempted to escape in the car they were in, and the passenger and woman were in an abnormal condition.
