KUWAIT: A man suffered from smoke inhalation during a fire that broke out in a Farwaniya apartment yesterday morning. Firefighters arrived to the scene shortly after the fire was reported, and immediately rushed to evacuate the building and tackle the blaze, which started on the fourth floor. Paramedics rushed the injured man to hospital for treatment and firemen managed to put out the fire. An investigation was opened to determine the cause of the blaze.

Campaign

The Hawally municipality emergency team carried out several inspection campaigns on shops, restaurants and warehouses, resulting in issuing 174 citations for food violations, nine stores were closed and 36 tons of spoiled food was removed, besides removing 1,023 violating signs.
