KUWAIT: The court of appeal yesterday sentenced a GCC national to four years in jail with labor for forgery, as he had used fake documents to get Kuwaiti citizenship. Meanwhile, the court of appeal also upheld the criminal court's verdict sentencing citizen Salem Al-Doussari (aka Abu Refaa) to five years in jail with labor over a state security case filed against him for slander over social media networks. Notably, the psychiatric diseases hospital issued a report about the suspect's mental health, stating that he was aware of his actions.

Ibn Sina Hospital

Al-Sabah Medical zone director Dr Afrah Al-Sarraf announced that preparations are in progress to build the new Ibn Sina Hospital with a bed capacity of 296. Speaking on the sidelines of launching the physiotherapy awareness week organized by Ibn Sina's Physiotherapy Department under the title "Physiotherapy for a Better Life," Sarraf said that expansion construction at Mohammed Al-Bahar center was over and that the new building includes surgery rooms and outpatient departments. Sarraf added that 23 percent of Kuwait Kidney Center, which is donated by the public committee for donation collection, has been completed. She also noted that a new kidney transplant center donated by the heirs of Sheikha Jassem Al-Marzouq is currently being designed.
