Man stabs woman in Kuwait City street

KUWAIT: An man tortured a woman he claimed was his ex-wife, causing injuries to her tongue, face and ear, in addition to several stab wounds. The man was arrested with a knife in his hand and is being sent to the prosecution. Police received a call about a fight on Sour Street in Kuwait City between a man and a woman, who sought the help of passersby as she was bleeding.

Police and detectives went to the scene and found the man with a knife in his hand, and the woman was next to him in a very bad condition. Paramedics rushed her to Amiri Hospital. The man, an Egyptian, was taken to Salhiya police station. He claimed the woman was his estranged wife, but investigations revealed she was not his wife and there is no relation between them. The man was charged with attempted murder.

Biker dead
A Lebanese man riding a motorcycle was killed in a collision with a vehicle on Airport Road. Police and paramedics rushed to the scene and found the motorcyclist in critical condition, but he died upon arrival to the hospital. The vehicle’s driver was detained as investigations are being conducted.

Domestic violence
A woman accused her brother of beating and injuring her. The woman took a medical report to police and told them her brother beat her due to a dispute. The prosecutor ordered the case be recorded under domestic violence and ordered the arrest of the brother for questioning

Resisting arrest
Two persons were sent to Fahaheel police station for resisting arrest, as both did not have any identification on them. They exchanged blows with policemen, but were controlled and arrested. Both men seemed to be under the influence, so they were sent to the forensics department for tests, then returned to Fahaheel police station for questioning after they sobered up.

Search for maid
A domestic helper stole KD 1,600 from her employer and disappeared, according to the sponsor’s statements. The son of the employer told Sabah Al-Salem police that the Filipina helper stole KD 1,600 in cash and fled the house. A warrant was issued for her arrest.

Property damage
