KUWAIT: A citizen accused an Iraqi national of swindling him out of KD 82,000. A security source said the citizen told them his business manager did not hand over rents to the complex where a café he owns is located, valued at KD 12,740. He also took the monthly income estimated at KD 70,000. Meanwhile, a telephone store owner told Nugra police that an unidentified person stole a smartphone after pretending he wanted to buy it. The owner gave police the suspect's license plate number, only to find out it was stolen.

Cab driver held for theft

Hawally detectives arrested a Filipino for robbing his compatriot working in a beauty salon. The victim told Salmiya police that she got into a taxi after work, but the driver stopped in a dark area, threatened her and took KD 560 that was with her. The suspect confessed to committing the crime. He said the woman was in the backseat, and when she opened her purse to get her phone, he noticed a large amount of money in it, and that was when the idea to steal it came to his mind. He was sent to the pubic prosecution. In another incident, two thieves robbed a Filipina of KD 315 and a smartphone before escaping. The victim lodged a complaint at Abu Halifa police station, saying that she was beaten and robbed. Detectives took over the case to find and arrest the culprits.

Domestic violence

An Iranian woman was beaten by her husband, a citizen, so she lodged a complaint against him at Fahd Al-Ahmad police station. The woman told police that after domestic differences, he insulted and beat her, causing the injuries mentioned in the medical report.

Man stabbed in fight

A Syrian national was stabbed in the thigh during a fight with two compatriots in Jleeb Al-Shuyiukh. The man, in his twenties, told local police that after he met the two persons, an argument took place, so they attacked and stabbed him with a sharp object. He submitted a medical report stating his injuries. Detectives are working on the case. In a separate incident, policemen broke up a fight between a Kuwaiti and Egyptian family, and they were charged with exchanging blows at Maidan Hawally police station. Investigations are underway to find out the reasons behind the fight.

Neighbors' row

A citizen in his forties accused his neighbor of damaging his car, adding when he asked her the reason for doing so, she said "why did you park in my spot?" The citizen lodged a complaint at Fahd Al-Ahmad police station. A security source said officers called the woman but she did not answer the phone, so detectives were asked to arrest her for questioning. - Al-Anbaa and Al-Rai
