McGraw, Underwood win big at CMT Awards; Pharrell performs

KUWAIT: Zain has sponsored Fakhar Al Arab, the exceptional show and competition for Arabian horses. The event, held early March at the Arena Kuwait, 360 Mall, celebrated the beauty of purebred Arabian horses and the talent of their breeders and owners. The event came under the supervision from ECAHO, the European Conference of Arab Horse Organizations.

During the closing ceremony, Zain awarded the owners of the winning horses in the gold category. In attendance were Chairman of Tamdeen Group Mohammed Jassim Al Marzouq, Zain Kuwait Chief Corporate Affairs and Relations Officer Waleed Al Khashti, Head of the Organizing Committee Dhari Al Mejhem, Zain Kuwait Corporate Relations Department Manager Hamad Al Musaibeeh, and the competition’s Managing Director Mohammed Al Khamees.

Zain is proud to extend its support to this competition that celebrated the beauty of the pure bred Arabian horse, a cultural symbol deeply rooted in the Kuwaiti, Arab, and Islamic identities. Arabian horses are one of the oldest and finest breeds, distinctive for their beauty, elegance, and intelligence, with thousands of years of history. Zain was keen to join this event to reflect the private sector’s support to cultural and sports programs in the community.

The Fakhar Al Arab competition featured several categories for straight Egyptian horses of all ages. An international team of referees supervised the competition and judged the participants, awarding points for criteria like Arab identity, head and neck, body, legs, and movement. Winners were selected for gold, silver, and bronze awards. The competition was organized under the S classification of the European Conference of Arab Horse Organizations (ECAHO).

Zain is always eager to support the biggest cultural and sports programs and competitions in Kuwait with the aim of elevating the Kuwaiti sports scene.
