KUWAIT: The regional office of the International Organization for Science and Technology (MILSET) announced yesterday winners of Kuwait's 2021 competition on robotics and industrial applications for students. The office said Abdulwahab Al-Kandari won the first place, Mohammad Al-Enezi won the second place, and Yousef Al-Tamimi won the third place.

The deputy head of the organization and head of Asia regional office, Adnan Al-Meer, said during the inauguration that the training programs and projects for Kuwaiti youth is designed to provide comprehensive training on modern science and technologies to enhance their capabilities. The representative of the Youth Ministry, Mohammad Al-Mutairi, said that the competition began in September until last December, and the second season will start in February until next May in order to increase the youth skills creativity.

The regional director of MILSET Asia office, Dawood Al-Ahmad, said that the competition is organized for students who win the annual school competition for robots and depends on the design and programming of a line-tracking robot individually. This competition shows the participants efficiency on programming the robot on a path with different angles and to adjust the speed of the robot to reach the goal in a short time. - KUNA
