KUWAIT: Minister of Public Works and Minister of State for Housing Affairs Jenan Bushehri announced launching new housing services on the Public Authority for Housing Welfare's website that allows citizens to apply online to obtain housing services. In a press statement, Bushehri said the housing authority had been working on developing e-services and systems to digitalize its services provided to citizens as well as its inter-department transactions. Bushehri added that applicants for housing used to procure over 13 documents from various government bodies earlier, but interconnection with various government bodies has now made it much easier to get those documents.

Air quality
Responding to a recent local Arabic daily report bearing the headline "Kuwait's air carcinogenic", which created a state of panic amongst readers, the Environment Public Authority (EPA) strongly denied making any statements including such 'inaccurate' information. EPA stressed that authentic reports about air quality should include accurate information about the type of pollutants, their concentration and periods of exposure, noting that all such information should be scientifically collected and tested before issuing such reports.

Final statements
Rapporteur of the parliamentary budgets and final statement committee Riyadh Al-Adsani said according to audit reports, 24,395 violations had been detected in some government bodies' final statements for the fiscal year 2017-2018. Adasani added that the 2017-2018 statements showed that there are 13,048 vacant jobs in ministries and other government bodies, in addition to 791 employment violations.

House deed
The administrative court compelled the Public Authority for Housing Welfare and the real estate registration department at the justice ministry to issue a house deed to a divorced female citizen without consulting her ex-husband.
