KUWAIT: Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled Al-Sabah yesterday rewarded security force members who took part in securing the opening ceremony of Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium, by giving them one week off from work.

Speaking to reporters at the inauguration of the ministry's camp in Subhan Monday night, the minister also stressed that after six weeks of restructuring the ministry's hierarchical structure, "the time has come to replace senior officials who had not been efficient enough."

Sheikh Mohammad Al-Khaled also noted that domestic security challenges that Kuwait faces are serious and include terrorism, sabotage, security and traffic, adding that security men are "up to those challenges."
