Ministry to pay ‘rare specialties’ teachers

KUWAIT: Following the announcement of high school exam results, educational sources said the Education Ministry asked education zones to tally teachers of rare specialties, so the lists can be sent to the financial center to pay them the rare specialty allowance. They said many educational areas have rare specialty teachers who have not been paid the allowance, which is KD 50.

The source said that on the instructions of Education Minister Dr Badr Al-Essa and follow-up by Undersecretary Haitham Al-Athari and Assistant Undersecretary for Public Education Sector Fatima Al-Kandari, the ministry is working on giving dues to those who deserve them. Meanwhile, the public education sector asked schools administrations to send a weekly report that include absences, be it by teachers or administrators, in order to take the necessary action according to the rules of the ministry. – Al-Anbaa
