KUWAIT: First Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah said that the terrorist bombing of the Imam Al-Sadeq Mosque proved that "our national unity is the rock on which the ambitions of the oppressors and the hatred of the infidels are smashed."

The defense minister's speech was delivered by the Ministry of Information's Assistant Undersecretary for Tourism Affairs Yousef Mustafa during a special event held by the Board of Trustees of Imam Al-Ahqaki's endowments on Wednesday to commemorate the fourth anniversary of the martyrs of the Imam Al-Sadeq Mosque.

"Today, we stand together to renew our condemnation of such a horrifying crime, which only emphasized that our national unity is a rock at which all aggressions are crushed," Sheikh Nasser said, praying for the souls of all martyrs. Meanwhile, head of the Board of Trustees of Imam Al-Ahqaki's endowments Dr Saleh Al-Saffar stressed that to the terrorists surprise, the attack only made the Kuwaiti people stronger and more unified. The ceremony was also attended by representatives of the martyrs families' and dignitaries. - KUNA
