KUWAIT: A truck collided with a sedan on Wafra road. The sedan’s driver was pronounced dead on the scene

KUWAIT: A citizen was killed in an accident between a sedan and a truck on Wafra road. Wafra rescue team led by Captain Humoud Sief responded to the scene after the accident was reported. The victim, Kuwaiti in his thirties, was found dead on the scene. The truck's Asian driver was injured and taken to hospital for treatment. The victim's body was recovered by the coroner. An investigation was opened to determine the circumstances behind the accident.

Fire

A fire broke out in a power transformer in Salmiya, and Salmiya firemen responded with South Salmiya fire center in support. The fire was put out, and no injuries were reported.

Swindler caught

Ardiya detectives arrested an Ethiopian man who swindled people by promising them to get domestic helpers, but disappeared as soon as he got the deposit. A security source said Ardiya police station received several complaints from citizens and expatraites about the suspect's activities, so a team was formed that was able to identify and arrest the suspect. The suspect said he made people believe he can hire domestic helpers for them at a lesser cost and took KD 160 to KD 200.
