KUWAIT: Parliamentary sources said MP Riyadh Al-Adasani is preparing a new grilling of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah in the upcoming term. This grilling will be the second in the coming term after the grilling of Interior Minister Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah, which he is also preparing, expected to be tabled before the start of the term so it can be discussed during the opening session at the end of October.

The sources said Adasani
will submit his grilling motion of the premier after the legislative
committee's report on the constitutionality of the grilling motion filed by MP
Abdulkarim Al-Kandari, which he submitted in the previous term. The government
asked it to be referred to the legislative committee to discuss its
constitutionality.

Meanwhile sources
revealed that the enrolment of a batch of bedoons in the military was postponed
until January, in anticipation of the National Assembly approving a civil
rights law for illegal residents to be discussed in November. Sources said the
accepted batch includes more than 1,000 bedoons who are children of military
men and those with 1965 census records. They have already undergone medical
examinations and submitted their registration papers at their workplaces.

The sources said
all those who were accepted hold unexpired security IDs issued by the central
department for illegal residents, which a must for admittance. They said bedoon
children of Kuwaiti mothers are not among this batch, as they are accepted
automatically in each military course without having to wait for a course
designed for bedoons.
