Mullet fish being sold at Sharq fish market

KUWAIT: With the aim of protecting fish resources in national waters, the Public Authority for Agricultural Affairs and Fish Rescores (PAAAFR) announced a ban on fishing mullet in national waters effective from the beginning of December till the end of June, said the head of Kuwait Fishermen Union Thaher Al-Sowayyan. He urged PAAAFR to allow fishing mullet within Kuwait Bay next season under its supervision.

Lawyers' fees

Oil Minister Essam Al-Marzouq said the Petrochemicals Company had paid the fees of lawyers and legal advice for current and former employees referred to prosecution over the investigation of the Dow deal. Marzouq added that the law firm hired was paid KD 400,000, and stressed that the decision to pay the fees was made based on Kuwait Petroleum Corporation's (KPC) regulations.

New CEO

Kuwait Airways Corporation's (KAC) board of directors formed a five-member committee to interview and select a new CEO for the company, out of 82 applicants.
