Municipality inspectors seize expired food items

KUWAIT: Kuwait Municipality's PR department stated that Mubarak Al-Kabeer municipality inspectors carried out inspections in various co-op societies and restaurants in the area. The department added that the inspections resulted in filing 17 citations involving selling of expired food items, hiring laborers prior to issuing health certificates and working with expired health certificates.

The inspection campaign titled 'Your Health is A Trust' is organized ahead of the holy month of Ramadan with a view to ensuring that foodstuff and beverages distributed through these coops, markets, restaurants and outlets are in compliance with the municipality regulations and that they are hygienic and safe for consumption.
