KUWAIT: As Kuwait Shooting Sport club gets ready for HH the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah Shooting Grand Prix to be held in January with the participation of many brotherly and friendly shooting federations from around the world, the tournament of Mustafa Karam Trading and Contracting Company concluded on Saturday at Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Olympic Shooting Complex with a ceremony that was attended by President of Kuwait and Arab Shooting Federations Engineer Duaij Khalaf Al-Otaibi, Kuwait Shooting Club Deputy Chairman Mohammad Mustafa Karam, Kuwait and Arab Shooting Federations Secretary General Obaid Al-Osaimi, and KSSC Treasurer Essa Butiban.

In his speech on behalf of KSSC Al-Osaimi thanked Mustafa Karam and Sons Company for supporting Kuwait shooting activities, and gave special tribute to the late Mustafa Karam for encouraging outstanding shooters of the national teams in order to encourage them make more achievements in the name of Kuwait at all levels.

He added that the tournament that lasted three days in the Olympic shotgun events Skeet, Trap and Double Trap attracted a large number of shooters from the club, National Guard and shooters from UAE and was characterized by strong competition prompting shooters to exert extra effort in order to win the coveted cup.

The tournament saw Kuwait trap shooter Khalid Al-Mudhaf record a new world record with the score of 121/125, as the results of the tournament were as follows:

In the trap event: Khalid Al-Mudhaf was first followed by Abdelrahman Al-Faihan in second while Tami Al-Rashidi was third.

In the skeet event: Mansour Al-Rashidi was first, Mohammad Al-Daihani second while Abdelaziz Al-Faihan ended in third place.

In the double trap event: Saad Lafi first, Fahad Lafi second and Ahmad Al-Afasi third.

In the ladies trap even Sarah Al-Hawal was first, followed by Shahad Al-Hawal in second and Sumaya Al-Juhail in third.

In the ladies skeet Eman Al-Shamma was first, Afrah Adel second and Fatima Al-Zaabi third.

President of Kuwait and Arab Shooting Federations Eng Duaij Khalaf Al-Otaibi thanked Mustafa Karam Company for its continued support and patronage of this annual tournament and encouragement of shooters who made and still are making outstanding achievements in the name of Kuwait both locally and internationally.

He said the club is exerting all efforts in order to make sure shooters are always ready to participate in all domestic, regional and international events including HH the Amir Grand Prix which is to be held in January here in Kuwait.
