KUWAIT: In an effort to provide a comprehensive and convenient banking experience to its customers and to maintain its leadership position in the sector, National Bank of Kuwait added “Dark Mode” feature and new enhancements to the NBK Mobile Banking App as part of its continued efforts to offer comfort to customers while ensuring they benefit of exceptional advanced digital solutions and banking services. 

Dark Mode provides protection for users by avoiding straining their eyes when using their iOS devices during the night. The feature also helps reduce the consumption of battery of devices. Another enhancement made is on the NBK Quick Pay service, enabling customers to send their payment request through WhatsApp, in addition to the existing SMS and email features, responding to customers’ request. Moreover, new enhancements were added to the NBK Mobile Banking App for smartwatches, adding extra features that comprise access to the account and credit card balances, last transactions and many more.    



Speaking of the new features, Cigdem Iltemir Carino, Consumer Banking Group Head of Digital Transformation, said: “NBK strives not only to provide the best digital solutions and banking services but also a comprehensive banking experience that takes into account the health of our customer by ensuring our services are easy and convenient to use. Carino reaffirmed that NBK is committed to design innovative services for NBK Mobile Banking App, which comes as part of the Bank’s digital transformation strategy. She added: “We are delighted with our customers’ responses to the new updates that are constantly made to the NBK Mobile Banking App and we promise them to provide more updates that meet their needs and make their transactions faster and easier.”

She pointed out that NBK Mobile Banking APP enables customers to complete most of their banking transactions from anywhere and anytime 24 hours a day, without having to visit branches. Global Finance magazine awarded National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) the “Best Consumer Digital Bank” and the “Best in Mobile Banking” in Kuwait in 2019 for its leadership and continuous efforts in this field. The FTSE Russell Foundation also listed NBK in its FTSE4Good Global Sustainability Index following its review last June, making it the only Kuwaiti bank to join the index.

The Bank constantly updates the NBK Mobile Banking App to offer a safe and secure way for customers to conduct transactions such as opening accounts, applying for loans, credit card limit increase, advanced payment features like e-Payments to enable online payment for purchases and NBK Quick Pay for fast and easy transfers, managing the accounts and cards while travelling, checking the NBK Miles and NBK Rewards Points, activating dormant accounts, establishing standing orders, finding the nearest branch, ATM or CDM in Kuwait, requesting an account statement or new checkbook, and many more services that make using NBK Mobile Banking App the perfect companion in Kuwait and when travelling.
