KUWAIT: A follow up team at the General Secretariat of the Supreme Council of Planning and Development visited the new Farwaniya Hospital project’s site yesterday. The project is expected to finish by the end of December 2019, said Assistant Secretary for Planning and Follow Up Bader Al-Rifae.

The project contains four buildings, the main one with a capacity of 955 beds, outpatient clinics, a heliport, 157 dental clinics and a multi-storey car parking with a capacity of 1400 vehicles, in addition to an integrated engineering services building, Rifae said.

The new hospital will provide 1,560 job opportunities for Kuwaitis, Rifae said, adding that the cost of the project reached KD 264 million. Rifae was accompanied on the tour by director of preparation and follow up Suad Al-Awad and supervisor Wafaa Al-Dhabayan.
