KUWAIT: The Traffic Department is installing additional 60 cameras (Traffic Tower 2) to monitor overspeeding and to raise the level of safety. A statement by Relations and Security Information Department said the cameras can take pictures on both directions at the same time.

Jordan security delegation

Undersecretary of the Kuwaiti National Guard (KNG) Lieutenant General Hashim Al-Rifai met yesterday with visiting Jordanian Director General of the Gendarmeries Department, Major General Hussein Mohammad Hawatmeh, and his accompanying delegation. During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance the ongoing military cooperation after a cooperation protocol agreement was signed in April between the KNG and the Jordanian Military to conduct combined training and to exchange expertise, a press statement by the KNG said. The statement added, that the Jordanian delegation listened to an explanation about KNG and its duties in keeping the country protected and supporting the state, in addition to the goals of the National Guard's strategic document 2020 to ensure keeping pace with technological advancement. General Al-Rifai conveyed greeting from KNG Chief, His Highness Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah and KNG Deputy Chief Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, recognizing the importance of these visits in enhancing the mutual military relation.

Security interception course

Officers who joined the training course for security interception at airports for 2017 graduated during a ceremony attended by Director General of Airport Security Major Gen Waleed Al-Saleh and Director General of Drugs Control General Department Brig Bader Al-Ghadoury and Assistant Liaison Officer of American Drug Fighting Bureau in Dubai Brian Taylor.
