KUWAIT: The Cabinet recently reviewed recommendations made by Finance Minister and Acting Oil Minister Anas Al-Saleh with the aim of reducing expenditure in the 2015-2107 budget.

In this regard, high-ranking sources said that the recommendations revolved around ministers' and senior officials' spending and included annulling a previous Cabinet decision to allocate a new vehicle worth KD 25,000 per minister to be registered in the minister's own name.

The decision also includes cancelling mobile phones subscriptions and prepaid fuel coupons. Accordingly, the Cabinet notified the Audit Bureau with the aim of avoiding the violations detected in the Bureau's final statements submitted to both the Cabinet and the parliament. - Al-Anbaa
