KUWAIT: Kuwait Airways stressed that its flights had no routes over the Egyptian peninsula of Sinai, adding that it was the company's general policy to avoid flying over dangerous territories so as to protect the lives of its passengers. The statement came two days after a Russian passenger jet crashed over the Egyptian peninsula, which prompted several airlines around the world to suspend air travel over the area.

Prisoners of war

Kuwait's foreign ministry strongly denied news reports which came out Sunday and claimed that remains of Kuwaiti prisoners of war have been located in Tikrit. The ministry explained that what had been discussed on that regard was finding a mass grave in Tikrit. In this regard, high-ranking Iraqi sources strongly denied notifying Kuwaiti authorities of finding remains of any Kuwaitis in Tikrit. "An Iraqi delegation went to Tikrit and failed so far to find the grave referred to," stressed the sources.
