KUWAIT: Kuwait's health ministry terminated the contract of an expatriate nurse after she was blamed of causing a medical error. Investigations had confirmed that the nurse was responsible for the medical error which took place at a public hospital where she worked, Al-Anbaa reported yesterday without providing any further details about the incident.

Impersonation
A Kuwaiti man who works in a sensitive area was arrested as he attempted to leave the country through Salmi land border post using his brother's ID, as he is wanted for issuing dud cheques and other financial issues. An employee at the passport control had doubts about the ID, so he referred him to security supervision and it was discovered the ID belongs to his brother. He was detained for forgery and will be sent to the public prosecution, Al-Rai reported.

Theft
A Jordanian woman who betrayed her Syrian friend and stole KD 3,000 from his room was arrested, reported Al-Rai. The Syrian told police his apartment was broken into and discovered the money was missing. The woman was called and she admitted she stole the money.

Drug possession
