KUWAIT: A reception was held for Kuwait shooters who participated in the Clay Shooting Grand Prix tournament that was held in Todi - Italy earlier in the month. The reception was held in the presence of President of Arab and Kuwait Shooting Federations Engr Duaij Al-Otaibi and Kuwait Shooting Sport Club Assistant Secretary Engr Mohammad Al-Ghurba. Kuwaiti shooter Ahmad Al-Afasi was able to win second place and the silver medal in the Double Trap Event, while Ahmad Al-Awwad won the Junior's Skeet Bronze Medal. In the Trap Team Event shooters Khalid Al-Mudhaf, Talal Al-Rashidi and Abdelrahman Al-Faihan won third place and the bronze medals.

Engr Duaij Al-Otaibi said this achievement is yet another one that it is expected - and it comes through good planning by both the board of directors and the technical department. He said the shooters continued training and hard work bring such achievements and the result made by Ahmad Al-Awad is a promising one as "we at KSSC rely heavily on juniors because they are the future of Kuwait Shooting". Al-Otaibi dedicated this achievement to HH the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, HH the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, HH the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and the Kuwaitis.

Engr Al-Otaibi lauded the support of the honorary President of KSSC Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah, Information Minister, State Minister for Youth Affairs Mohammad Al-Jabri and Public Authority for Sports and its Director General Humoud Fulaiteh. He said preparations are underway for the 8th Asian Clay Shooting and 11th Air Gun Shooting Tournament to be held in November in Kuwait - with 45 countries participating. The club will begin its local 2018-2019 season with the tournament of HH the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on October 4th 2018 at Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Olympic Shooting Complex.
