Muscat: The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has issued a statement regarding the presence of an emergency case in one of the aircrafts at Muscat International Airport.

"The Civil Aviation Authority has started with the concerned authorities at Muscat International Airport to follow up on a report of an emergency case in one of the planes. The case is currently being dealt with by the competent authorities," CAA said in a statement.

About 14 persons were injured after an Air India Express flight caught fire in Muscat on Wednesday morning, The Times of Oman reported.

Officials said that the “fire was seen when the aircraft was taxing towards the runway for takeoff.”
