Abdulaziz Al-Rashed

KUWAIT: Ooredoo, Kuwait’s fastest network, announced its ongoing support to its brand ambassador Abdulaziz Al-Rashed, the young Kuwaiti triathlon champion. The young athlete is competing in the Xterra Triathlon in Hawaii later this month, where he competed last year and won a gold medal to be the first Arab athlete winning in this prestigious competition.

Al-Rashed reiterated his commitment towards utilizing this participation to further raise the Kuwaiti flag high in international sporting events, noting that he will be participating in more international events that he will announce later in the year. Triathlons are multiple-stage competitions involving the completion of three continuous and sequential endurance discipline: swimming, cycling and running.

Commenting on this, Senior Director of Corporate Communications at Ooredoo Kuwait Mijbil Alayoub said: “We’re proud of our young athlete Abdulaziz Al-Rashed for his achievements and commitment to this sport, and we’re certain that he will make more achievements in the future with the right support. Our sponsorship from Abdulaziz stems from our deep-rooted belief in enabling youth to reach their potential.” During the period of his sponsorship with Ooredoo, he won several national, regional and international events. He placed first in Kuwait’s Triathlon which was held at the Corniche Club last year. He also won the third position in Sharm El-Sheikh ALAMEDA Triathlon, which represents the pinnacle of triathlon competitions in Egypt, providing recreational triathletes with a once in a lifetime opportunity to compete on the same course as Africa’s and Arabs’ known champions
